1. Condition half of a 3oz package of
copper polymer clay.

2. Roll out the clay to 1/8th of an inch or the
thickest setting on your pasta machine.

3. Using a 1 1/2" circle cookie cutter, punch
out a circle.

4. Using a 3/8" circle cutter, punch a hole in
the center of the circle.

5. Spray your stamp or texture sheet with
some automotive protectant spray.

6. Lay the clay circle onto the texture sheet
and roll with an acrylic or wood brayer.  You may also want to spray the brayer with
the protectant spray.

7. Poke a hole at the top of the circle with wooden skewer or a paper piercing tool.

8. Bake the beads on cotton polyester batting in the oven for the manufacturers
recommended time and temperature.

For the beads...

1. Roll out the clay to 1/32" or a 4 on your pasta machine.

2. Spray a texture sheet with
automotive protectant spray and texture the clay

3. Cut out 3, 1" x 2.5" rectangles.

4. Cut each rectangle diagonally to make 6 triangles.

5. Roll the triangles beginning with the wide side first. Make sure the textured side is
face down.

6. Insert an eye pin through the top of the bead
that comes out at the bottom.  Leave the pin in
during the baking process.

7. Bake the beads on
cotton polyester batting* in the oven
for the manufacturers recommended time and temperature.

Assembling the Necklace...

1. Cut a 4" piece of wire.  Place the wire halfway
through the donut, bend the wire in half and wrap
it several times around itself.
(Illustration B)

2. Using the excess strands of wire place a
seed bead, a decorative bead and one more
seed bead.

3. With your
round nose pliers bend the wire at a 90
degree angle just above the last seed bead. Bend
the wire around the pliers to make a small loop.
Wrap the excess around itself.
(Illustration C)

4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 on the other side.

5. Using the eye pin that is already in your handmade
bead,
bend the end at a 90 degree angle just above the bead. Bend
the wire around the pliers to make a small loop.  Wrap the excess around itself.
You made need to snip off some of the excess if the pin is too long.

6. Join the handmade bead and the pendant together with a small jump ring

7. Cut a length of wire 3 inches longer than the length of a decorative spacer bead.
Make a loop using the technique explained in step 3.  Place the spacer bead onto the
wire and make another loop.
(Illustration E)

8. Join the beads with a jump ring.
(Illustration D)

9. Repeat this process on both
sides of the pendant until the
desired length of the necklace.

10. When you come to the end of the necklace the last step is to attach a clasp.  Using a
jump ring attach it to the last
bead on both sides.
