1. Press the 3 balls against a table making the top and bottoms
somewhat flat.
2. Draw an equal amount of sections on
the ball with a permanent marker.
3. Go over the marked lines with a bone
folder or a rounded marker. Smoothing
out the rough edges as you go along.
4. After indenting all three balls, begin
covering them with air dry clay.
5. Allow them to dry completely overnight.
6. Place a scewer through the center of the three balls being
careful not to put it through the top of the last pumpkin.
7. Leaving space between the pumpkins paint them with an
orange paint and allow to dry. (you may need to repeat this
step to get full coverage).
8. Mix some brown paint with an equal amount of water and
apply it to the pumpkins, wiping off the excess with a paper
towel.
9. Fill a Terra Cotta pot with Styrofoam to hold the scewer in
place.
10. Place silk leaves around the edges of the pot gluing them to
the foam inside. (Straight pins may help hold the leaves in
place)
11. To make the twine curly cues mix equal parts white glue and water in a craft dedicated or disposable bowl. Run a
length of twine through the mixture using you fingers to squeegee out the extra glue.
12. Twist the wet twine around a pencil or pen.
13. Poke the pencils or pens into a scrap piece of strop home to dry.
14. After the twine has dried slip the coils off the pencils and poke them gently into the top of the pumpkins.
15. For a little extra touch put a leaf between the bottom two pumpkins.
16. Glue the pumpkins together and you are DONE!
