* For our layout we used a 12 x12 scrapbooking
format, if your format is smaller you will have
to adjust your sizes.

1. Choose a 5 x 7 photo you would like to use for
the page.

2. Using double stick tape or a large sticker making
machine mount your photo to another sheet of
paper giving the photo a 1/8th inch border all
around it.

3. After securing the photo down to the mat adhere
it to another sheet of paper at least an inch larger
than the mat.

                                          4. Place the foam tape around the photo using the edge of the first
mat as a guide. You should still be able to see the first mat framing
                                              the photo.

                                          5. Add any embellishments that will lay inside your shaker box ( We
used mini orange and clear seed beads and some leaf confetti).

6. Cut a page protector or sheet of acetate to cover all the foam tape.

7. Remove the protective film on the foam tape, be careful not to pull it of too fast or some of the embellishments
could get stuck on top of the tape.

8. Carefully, starting from one of the sides, place the acetate over the exposed tape.

9. Create a mat for the top of your finished shaker box or use a store bought 5 x 7 mat.
